BNN founded
Bogus News Network promises laughable news
Wednesday night a new network for news broadcasting appeared on the scene of international information monopolies. Aptly named BNN, short for Bogus News Network the network will cover “only good news.”
“If the news are bad,” founder Reyem P. Naitsabes said at the opening gala at the Ballroom of the New York City Plaza Hotel “at least we will make you get a good laugh out of them.”
“And besides,” he continued while flashlights went off and film cameras of “real” news networks rolled, “isn’t this ridiculous to begin with? I mean, come on, this whole planet is ridiculous. It is time that somebody sees it for what it is worth.”
Ted Turner, former VP of AOL Time Warner said in an interview after the press conference that the whole thing was “so ridiculous it might actually work.” He did however say that CNN, AOL Time Warner’s own network of laughable news reporting, was pretty laughable in itself. “Only time will tell who is more laughable. God only knows we are trying to be ridiculous and have been at it for years. Now some start up is trying to be more laughable than CNN? I think not.” He said before entering a stretch limo.
An anonymous inside source at CNN did however later confirm that Turner was indeed worried CNN was not ridiculous enough and talks about changes in the news lineup to include more presidential speeches and less news about puppies are under way.
Rupert Murdoch, head of FOX networks declined comment on the new network. A friend of a friend, who kind of knows a guy a janitor at The O’Reilly Show owes $20 owed us a favor though and said Murdoch himself was visibly worried and had called Bill O’Reilly only minutes after the press conference, using a live video link up from the 12 th bathroom on his Yacht currently cruising in the Gulf of Mexico. This source also confirmed that there might soon be a change in the FOX News line-up to include more O’Reilly and the formation of a new FOX channel that will be home to the popular reality shows “collapsing flaming buildings” and the college based news show “I bet those are fake.”
