Seizure inducing ads
I recently got a Replay TV unit, which let’s me skip TV commercials, Safari also blocks pop-up ads, but there are still some ads that drive me nuts (aside from spam, of course): The kind that flash like crazy to be seen.

Virginia Tech building G5 cluster with 1,100 mashines

According to reports, Virginia Tech placed the dual-2GHz G5 order shortly after the G5 was announced. Multiple sources said Virginia Tech has ordered 1100 units; RAM on each is said to be upgraded to 4GB or 8GB.The G5s will be clustered using Infiniband to form a 1,100-node supercomputer delivering over 10 Teraflops of performance. Two sources said the cluster is estimated to be one of the top five fastest supercomputers in the world.

cool freeware game
Glider, a pretty neat game in which you have to fly a paper airplane through a house, is now available for a free download.
It is actually a pretty neat addictive game, be it with some dated graphics.
