When Panthers attack

Just got back from the Panther release party at the International Plaza Mall Apple Store here in Tampa. The lines were long…

We arrived at the store around 8:02. The store was supposed to open at 8, but it was quite apparent that some people had shown up well in advance to get in line. The line was longer than I have ever seen it before, including the initial store opening.

The end of the line was actually just around the corner. We were so far away from the store, I didn’t even pick up their AirPort signal.

While Standing in line in front of this Arden B store, my wife asked the valid question, “Who wears only pink and black?”

Inside the store not much was different from the regular nights. There was a 10% discount of all Mac, and if you bought Panther you also got 10% off everything else in the store. Naturally the iTrip and recording adapter for the iPod both were not in stock yet. They were giving out pretty neat “dog tag” chains with the Panther X symbol on them for free though.

Around 10, when we left, there was still plenty of people in line.
